Have you seen the new Timberland Earthkeepers? These boots are just about ready to fall apart. Well, when you've finished with them anyway. You see they are designed to be taken apart. When you have worn them out, and that won't be for a long time, then 80% of the boot materials can be recycled or reused. The detachable and recyclable Green Rubber outsole is made from 42% recycled tire crumb which can go back to a Green Rubber factory for recycling. Polyester components can be recycled into new polyester products by the Teijin company of Japan.
Timberland Earthkeepers boots are original, rugged boots with a smaller environmental footprint than other boots. Still with the original rugged Timberland durability and lightweight versatility, along with linings made from recycled materials, outsoles made with recycled rubber and that famous all-day comfort which makes them everyone's favourite boot.
